After activating your SmartPOS terminal, you can enable different settings from your SmartPOS payment app to enhance functionality.

Click on the options below to learn more about settings and features for you SmartPOS.


Settings

To access and manage the settings for your terminal:

  1. Navigate to Features
  2. You will see a list of available settings, each controlled by a toggle switch.
  3. Tap a toggle to enable or disable the corresponding feature.
  4. After making your changes, tap the Back button to return to the main menu.

Global Settings

To enable or disable these features, go to Global Settings and click the corresponding toggle switch.

Shows the list of purchased items on the terminals' screen after a payment is initiated.

To enable this feature, click the Display items toggle.


Payment

To enable or disable these features, go to Payment and click the corresponding toggle switch.

Enables manual entry or QR code scanning to attach an Order ID to a transaction.

To enable this feature, click the Insert order toggle.


Navigation

Customize your navigation flow. You can add a cancelation button for your payment screen and hide the system navigation bar.

Go to Navigation and click the corresponding toggle switch.

Displays a dedicated Cancel❌ button, allowing users to easily cancel a transaction.

To enable this feature, click the Cancel button toggle. Click Back at the top of your screen to return to the main screen.


Features

Configure and access the app's features. Check the possible options for the list of features below.

Security

You can change you PIN code or unbind your terminal from your current account.

To change the PIN code:

  1. Go to Security and insert your 4-digit PIN Code.
  2. Enter the default PIN code.
  3. Click Change and then enter your new PIN code.
  4. Click ✔.

To unbind your terminal:

  1. Go to Security and insert your 4-digit PIN Code.
  2. Click Unbind and confirm.

About

Under About, you will find the device's specifications.

Lists

Shows the list of employees you add at the tipping screen. To know how to add employees to your list, see Tipping - Global settings. To access the Lists screen, enter your PIN code.

From the Lists screen, you can remove employees individually or remove all:

  • To remove individually, press the employee can click OK to delete.
  • To remove the complete list, click 🗑️and then click OK.

Closing balance

You can generate a report summarizing total sales, broken down by payment method and including tips, for a specific 24-hour period.

To view your closing balance:

  1. Go to Features > Closing balance
  2. Set the following:
    • Select if you want to view the closing balance for Today, Yesterday, or select a specific day.
    • Insert a Start hour (0-23). The closing balance will show the transactions starting from the inserted hour up until the next day, e.g., if Start hour is set to 10, the period begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 09:59 AM the next day.
    • Select Report levelfrom the dropdown menu. You can choose between:
      • Company: Shows the balance for all terminal groups.
      • Group: Shows the balance for the terminal group the device is linked to.
      • Current Device: Shows the balance for transactions processed on your terminal.
  3. Click View to generate

External printer

Additionally to our built-in printers within some of our devices, you can use the Sunmi kitchen cloud printer via

  • Bluetooth
  • Wi-Fi
  • USB connections

You can set it up within your app:

  1. Via Settings, go to External printer
  2. Press Discover
  3. Select Connection Type
  4. List of printers available is displayed
  5. When a payment is completed, click the printer icon to print your receipt.

History

You can check your transaction history and filter searches, process refunds, or print a receipt for a given transaction.

In the transaction history screen, click Filter to modify the search parameters. Here, you can search by:

  • Refunded transactions
  • Transaction amount
  • Transaction date
  • Transaction status
  • Payment method used to process the payment

To process a refund, click on the relevant transaction you want to reimburse and click Refund. A new transaction will appear in your Transaction history, with a Refunded flag.

To print a receipt, go to the relevant transaction and click the printer 🖨️ icon. You can use our built-in printer if your device supports it, or an external printer

Support

You can access our guides from your terminal by scanning or tapping the QR code. This will take you directly to our POS Overview page:

  • Scan the QR code with your own smartphone's camara to access our guides from your phone
  • Click the QR code to access our guides directly from the terminal's browser

Sunmi OS settings

Configure global settings for your device from the Sunmi settings panel.

How to switch languages

You can switch the language for your terminal. This will also change the language for your MultiSafepay app.

  1. Go to your Sunmi's Android Settings.
  2. Go to System > Languages & input > Languages.
  3. Here, you can add, manage and remove languages.
  4. To set a language to default, drag it to the first position.
  5. The selected language will now be configured for your MultiSafepay app.

How to update the MultiSafepay App

You can manually update our app:

  1. Open the App store on your terminal.
  2. Select the MultiSafepay App.
  3. The app will automatically update to the latest version.

We recommend to keep our app updated to take full advantage of our latest functionalities.
