Traditional (C-TAP) is a terminal that has passed Acquiris certification and can be connected to acquirers with a C-TAP host.

Prerequisites

To process payments, you will need:

A MultiSafepay account
A traditional (C-TAP) terminal

Activation

To activate a traditional (C-TAP) terminal, follow these steps:

Sign in to your dashboard

Add a new terminal to your dashboard

Go to Devices > Terminals and select Add Traditional. An unique ID is assigned to your device and a new terminal group is created automatically, where you can add and manage multiple terminals. Click Create.

Send the terminal information to your provider

A dialog is displayed. Send the following information to your POS provider to complete the terminal activation process:

Terminal ID
Account ID
C-TAP Acquirer

Note:
If your POS provider assigns a unique Terminal ID to your payment terminal, update the corresponding C-TAP terminal in your MultiSafepay dashboard after creating it:

Go to Point of Sale > Terminals and select the C-TAP terminal associated with the unique Terminal ID provided by your POS provider.

Click Edit and update the Terminal ID field with the unique Terminal ID provided by your POS provider.

Click Save to apply the changes.

Once your POS provider has completed the terminal setup, your terminal is activated and ready to accept payments.
