Best practices

To ensure reliable payment processing:

  • Keep the device charged: Make sure the device has sufficient battery before processing payments. Avoid using battery-saving or low-power modes while taking payments.
  • Use a stable internet connection: Make sure the device has a stable internet connection where payments are processed.
  • Keep NFC enabled: NFC must remain enabled to accept contactless payments.
  • Keep the app in the foreground during payments: Once a payment starts, stay on the payment screen until the app displays the result.
  • Keep the screen on: Don't lock the device, press the power button, switch apps, or allow the screen to turn off while a payment is in progress.
  • Keep the app and device up to date: Install application and Android updates outside active payment sessions.

Connect using an Ethernet cable

Some Android devices support an Ethernet connection directly or through a compatible adapter, dock, or cradle.

If your device supports Ethernet:

  1. Connect the Ethernet cable to the device or its compatible adapter, dock, or cradle.
  2. Make sure the device detects the wired network connection.
  3. Confirm that the device has internet access before using Tap to Pay.

The available wired network options depend on your Android device. Refer to the device manufacturer's instructions for connection and configuration details.

Manage battery

Keep your device sufficiently charged while processing payments.

To help prevent interruptions:

  • Avoid using battery-saving or low-power modes while processing payments.
  • Make sure the device has sufficient battery before starting a payment.
  • Charge the device between payments when necessary.

Print receipts

To print your receipt, you need a thermal paper roll of either 57mm or 58mm and a compatible external SUNMI printer.

Make sure the printer is correctly connected and configured before processing payments.
