Initial configuration and activation

Process payments from your device using our Tap to Pay application.

Requirements

  • A MultiSafepay account
  • MultiSafepay's Tap to Pay payment application
  • Android 11 or above
  • Your device supports and has NFC enabled
  • An active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)

You can verify device compatibility by installing the Tap to Pay app. During onboarding, the app automatically checks whether your device meets the requirements. The first onboarding steps in the app will check your device and confirm if your device is compatible.

Installation and activation

  1. Install the MultiSafepay Tap to Pay App from your device's App Store and complete the initial steps.
  2. Activate the device from your dashboard.

To activate, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your MultiSafepay dashboard .

  2. Go to Devices > Terminals and click Add terminal.

  3. Under Group, click Add new group, or select a previously created group.

  4. If you haven't created a terminal group yet, fill out the following fields:

    • New group name.
    • Webhook URL (optional).
    • Logo: Select an image you want to display in different places of your payment app, to show customized branding. To upload your logo, see How to upload logos. The logo is applied to all devices within the group and is displayed in the background of the payment app.
  5. Select Terminal type Tap to Pay.

  6. Click Create.

Install the MultiSafepay payment app on your device to scan the QR code.

  1. Turn on your device and install the MultiSafepay app from the App Store.
  2. In the search field, enter MultiSafepay and select MultiSafepay Payment app.
  3. Grant permission to the MultiSafepay app. A dialog with a QR scanner appears.
  4. Scan the QR code on your dashboard with your device's camera.
