Application Release Notes - Version 26-07-01

✨ Improvements

Payment Flow

  • Updated the payment flow for PIN entry. If the PIN input screen is closed, the transaction now remains active and awaits card presentation, manual cancellation, or API cancellation instead of terminating immediately.
  • All transactions now automatically expire after 1 minute if no action is taken, aligning behavior across payment flows.

Closing Order Flow

  • Updated the display duration settings for transaction result screens (Approved, Declined, Cancelled). The 0-second option has been removed. Available options now range from Disabled to 1–5 seconds.
  • Updated the default Close Order Flow duration to 2 seconds. This can be adjusted via the app’s feature settings.

Receipts

  • Declined transactions can now be printed after the payment fails.
  • Enabled receipt printing immediately after transaction completion and via transaction history for Unreferenced refunds.
  • Standardized receipt layout to ensure consistent formatting across all device types.

UX / UI

  • Payment error messages can now be dismissed by tapping the screen.
  • The Cancel button feature now also works for Unreferenced refunds.

On-same device applications: App-to-App

  • Added validation to prevent App-to-App transaction requests while Cloud Mode is enabled. Users are now prompted to disable Cloud Mode to proceed with the payment.

🔧 Fixes

  • Fixed an exception that caused transaction failures when processing French credit cards.
  • Resolved an exception where specific AMEX cards were rejected during contactless (NFC) transactions.
  • Updated error handling. Presenting an unsupported payment method now displays a clear “Card not supported” message.
  • Transaction expiration timers now correctly reset if the terminal locks.
  • Fixed an exception that caused certain terminals to crash and require a reboot.
  • Resolved a software exception that caused a black screen on specific terminal models.
  • All logos now load properly on the terminal.
  • Logos now display clearly on printed receipts.
  • Fixed an exception preventing certain terminal models (P3HK, P3H, P3 AIR) from connecting to external Bluetooth printers.

Testing before general release

You can test the latest MultiSafepay Payment App version on a single terminal, before the general update rolls out to your entire fleet.

You have two options:

  1. Early Access: Email [email protected] to request early access for a specific terminal before the General Release. The Pre-release version is available a few days before the General Release.
  2. Manual Update: Disable "Auto-update" in the Sunmi Partner Portal, then manually update your test terminal via the Sunmi App Store once the General Release is available. After testing, manually update the rest of your fleet.

We recommend Option 1 as it ensures your fleet stays up-to-date with minimal manual effort. Option 2 requires additional steps to manage the update process.

We recommend updating your app to access the latest improvements and enhanced performance.

  1. Open the App Store on your terminal.
  2. Update the MultiSafepay Pay App to the latest version.
