Maestro payments are processed as a credit card payment. Therefore, credit card payments must be enabled within your MultiSafepay account to process a Maestro payment. Submit your request to enable credit cards (Visa, Mastercard en Maestro) to your account manager or contact us at [email protected]
A Maestro payment is always validated with the 3D secure code. The 3D secure is a requirement of Maestro.
Credit card transaction received by MultiSafepay, will be processed through our fraud filter.
The following status are important when receiving a credit card payment.
|Transaction & order status||Description|
|Completed||Payment is accepted and added to your MultiSafepay account.|
|Uncleared||The payment is offered to you. You decide whether you want to accept or decline an uncleared transaction. Click here for further information about an uncleared status.|
|Declined||The transaction is declined by the account holders issuing bank or by MultiSafepay. Click here for further information about the declined status.|
Maestro is a direct payment method. Despite the fact that it corresponds to a credit card payment, it is still a debit card payment. Meaning, that a successful payment can not be reversed by the customer.
